2008 Santa Cruz County Fair results are in.  R.O.A.R.S. riders took home buckles in 3 of the four age groups!  Whoot whooooo!  Way to go riders!  We need more parents and granparents taking photos and sending them in (hint, hint, hint).

Parents - send those lesson photos to Tammy so we can get them on the website!  There are also tons more pictures under "Camps" of the kids riding .. and of course on Facebook.  "Like" us on Facebook: Royal Oaks Arena, Ranch and Stables.  Facebook is so much easier to update than the webpage so a lot of the pictures are on Facebook.

Zack, Sierra, Sami and Tammy in April at the 2011 CGA District 1 show.
Haley and Lollipop.  April 2011.  Lolli loves her little girls, and they love her!
Nina on Tinkerbell.  Nina is doing GREAT riding with Judy.  She is at the ranch all the time longing, riding and spending a lot of time with the horses.
Our four year old student, Louisa.  She is a doll and really keeps us all on our toes!  She is very quick witted and always happy!

Julaine and Lolli October 2010
These kids know how to get their way ....
Group of kids at one of our 2010 Summer Horse Camps.
Group of the ROARS Riders at CGA State Finals 2010.
We brought home a Hurry Scurry Match Race Champion, a few High Point Saddle Champions and several reserve champions (clippers, sturrips and buckles).  Congratulations riders!  Awesome job!
Mount family was Tuff E'nuff for Pink at the CGA State Finals 2010.
Reed on Spanky and Tom on Star at the August 2010 CGA District 9 show.  Both boys brought home buckles from the show.  Great job boys!
Caitlyn and Kiniki on the right.  I keep trying to get pics of Caitlyn off of our facebook page to put on this one, but they are all bitmap pics.  grrrrr.  Caitlyn and Kiniki are doing awesome together.  More to come on these two!
Kassidy and her horse, Slash jumping at the ranch during camp.  Slash is her gymkhana horse but they do a very nice job jumping too so sometimes she puts her english gear on him and goes after those jumps!  The picture on the right is Kass on Pokey.  She had a blast riding Pokey at camp.

Demelza "Chilly" and Gracie with thier High-Point Award
CGA District 1 Show and then High Point at the Santa Cruz County Fair 2009 for the second year in a row!  Whoo hoooo!  The third pic is of her and Gracie at a Gold Coast Barrel race.
Chilly and her new horse, Bucky.  Bucky is a 4 year old and has REALLY filled out now. He is going to be HUGE like Tobo and Ace.  Hope you are ready for that power Chilly!  Watch out for this pair in a few years ....
Sami "Small Fry" and Lollipop at their first show.
Sami on Rusty on the left LOVE this picture.  Sami jumping on one of our lesson ponies, Stormy on the right.  Sami LOVES Stormy!  Sami meeting Kizzy's baby Mighty Mouse for the 1st time, they gave each other a mutual kiss!
Tori won this buckle on her mom's baby horse cowboy and then gave it to her mom.  Tori has many accomplishments and runs in the AAA+ and AAA division and is currently bringing up her new horse Puzzle.
Tori's new horse, Puzzle.  This kid canNOT stop smiling when she is riding this horse!  Tori has retired Rusty to her mom and then little sister, Sami, so that he can help them gain their "A's" and she has started over training her baby, Puzzle.

Tobo teaching Tori had to use some advanced riding techniques.  He has brought many kids from intermediate to advanced by making them ride him right.  He is an awesome horse and definitely Ma-ma's boy!
Julaine and Lollipop.  Julaine is ready for shows now so ya all will be seeing her at the shows real soon!  Julaine rides Lollipop and our pony, Star.
This is Carla on our pony Star.  Carla rides most of our lesson horses and ponies now and just rode in her first CGA show in August.  Carla rode Lollipop in the show and won the High Point buckle in FC 10 and under.  That was Lolli's 2nd consecutive year winning the same buckle for a little girl.  Good girl, Lolli!
Sierra on Jesse.  Sierra has her own horse, Stormy, but loved riding Jesse at camp so most of our pics are of her on Jesse.  Jesse is my reining mare .. that also does jumps (apparently!).
Trish takes most of her lessons on Tobo, but was caught sneaking a ride on Dinger this time!  Trish and her Australian Shepherds compete in dog trials and she wants to go to the next level with them which means she had to learn to ride a horse.  Trish has been taking lessons and will soon be ready to do the dog trials with her awesome dog Duke.  We want to watch!  Way to go Trish - we know you will make us proud!
Jordan almost always rides Lollipop but I don't have a photo of her on Lolli so I put this one up of her on Clyde. This is the only time she rode Clyde.  Jordan loves to ride horses or just be with horses.  She never misses a lesson is always on time (or early) and is happy to help out with feeding and blanketing.  Her goal is to ride and maybe someday have a horse of her own.

Jordan and Lolli

This is Shay on Clyde.  Shay loves horses and wants to have a horse of her own.  She's already planned the whole deal out.  She told her mom and friends that she is taking lessons, getting a horse, and boarding it at Royal Oaks. This is my kind of kid!

Mia and Clyde with their new airbrushed outfit.  Clyde is adorable in lime green and pink (you are too Mia!).
Mia has the busiest social calendar of any little girl I know!  I constantly tell her parents that I am glad they have to drive her around - I could never do it!  Mia is allowing us to use her pony, Clyde in our lesson program.  She also continues to ride Clyde and takes weekly lessons with us.  Mia is always happy and a joy to be around.  We hope to see Mia and Clyde competing in some shows this season!
Mia on her sister's horse, Ace.  Mia did an awesome job riding him and is just about ready to get a high powered horse of her own.  The picture on the left is AWESOME.  LOVE IT!

Taylor and her winnings with "Daddy's Amigo".  Taylor is so much like me (Tammy) when I was young ... no matter how many hours spent on or with our horses, it's NEVER ENOUGH!  When Taylor is at the ranch, she will keep riding horses until there are no more horses to ride.

Taylor has done and awesome job training Amigo for gymkhana.  They are becoming quite a team and have even pulled some AAA times!  She is also running barrels on him and has won MONEY at the barrel races!
Taylor and Doc at the beach on Taylor's birthday.  Doc is recovering from an injury and he is doing very well.  Taylor has done a great job with his rehabilitation.  She has more patience than most adults.  I am very proud of her for following the doctors orders to a "T" where Doc is concerned.
Taylor and her new horse Ace.  They are doing AWESOME ... running AAA and AAA+ times in CGA and even ran a smokin' 17.89 in jackpot barrels at the 2009 Santa Cruz County Fair  - took home the 1st place check and the money!
Tobo says there's no age requirement for lessons.  He's a big horse but he is very gentle with the little ones!
Students - send in your photos for the website!
