2008 Santa Cruz County Fair results are in.  R.O.A.R.S. riders took home buckles in 3 of the four age groups!  Whoot whooooo!  Way to go riders!  We need more parents and granparents taking photos and sending them in (hint, hint, hint).

Parents - send those lesson photos to Tammy so we can get them on the website!  There are also tons more pictures under "Camps" of the kids riding.

Pictures from CGA Convention 2009
Students doing miscellaneous volunteer work in the communtiy.

Hannah and Star did very well at Hannah's very first horse show ever.  Hannah was a tiny bit nervous at the beginning, but by the end of the day she was ready to rock and roll.
Haley Brown and Snips.  These two are getting  more and more consistent and have really been making some nice runs.
Tori won this buckle on her mom's baby horse cowboy and then gave it to her mom.  Tori has many accomplishments and runs in the AAA+ and AAA division and is currently bringing up her new horse Puzzle.
Taylor and her new horse Ace.  They are doing AWESOME ... running AAA and AAA+ times in CGA and even ran a smokin' 17.89 in jackpot barrels at the 2009 Santa Cruz County Fair  - took home the 1st place check and the money!

Demelza "Chilly" and Gracie with thier High-Point Award
CGA District 1 Show and then High Point at the Santa Cruz County Fair 2009 for the second year in a row!  Whoo hoooo!  The third pic is of her and Gracie at a Gold Coast Barrel race.
Sami "Small Fry" and Lollipop at their first show.
Tori's new horse, Puzzle.  This kid canNOT stop smiling when she is riding this horse!  Tori has retired Rusty to her mom and then little sister, Sami, so that he can help them gain their "A's" and she has started over training her baby, Puzzle.

Tobo teaching Tori had to use some advanced riding techniques.  He has brought many kids from intermediate to advanced by making them ride him right.  He is an awesome horse and definitely Ma-ma's boy!
Michelle "Mini-Me" and her winnings with "Loco Cocoa".
Michelle's and her new horse Cocoa are really working well together.  Good job, Mini-Me .. she's not Loco Cocoa anymore!

Taylor and her winnings with "Daddy's Amigo".  Taylor is so much like me (Tammy) when I was young ... no matter how many hours spent on or with our horses, it's NEVER ENOUGH!  When Taylor is at the ranch, she will keep riding horses until there are no more horses to ride.

Taylor has done and awesome job training Amigo for gymkhana.  They are becoming quite a team and have even pulled some AAA times!  She is also running barrels on him and has won MONEY at the barrel races!
Taylor and Doc at the beach on Taylor's birthday.  Doc is recovering from an injury and he is doing very well.  Taylor has done a great job with his rehabilitation.  She has more patience than most adults.  I am very proud of her for following the doctors orders to a "T" where Doc is concerned.
Mia has the busiest social calendar of any little girl I know!  I constantly tell her parents that I am glad they have to drive her around - I could never do it!  Mia is allowing us to use her pony, Clyde in our lesson program.  She also continues to ride Clyde and takes weekly lessons with us.  Mia is always happy and a joy to be around.  We hope to see Mia and Clyde competing in some shows this season!

Mia and Clyde with their new airbrushed outfit.  Clyde is adorable in lime green and pink (you are too Mia!).
Trish takes most of her lessons on Tobo, but was caught sneaking a ride on Dinger this time!  Trish and her Australian Shepherds compete in dog trials and she wants to go to the next level with them which means she had to learn to ride a horse.  Trish has been taking lessons and will soon be ready to do the dog trials with her awesome dog Duke.  We want to watch!  Way to go Trish - we know you will make us proud!
Jordan almost always rides Lollipop but I don't have a photo of her on Lolli so I put this one up of her on Clyde. This is the only time she rode Clyde.  Jordan loves to ride horses or just be with horses.  She never misses a lesson is always on time (or early) and is happy to help out with feeding and blanketing.  Her goal is to ride and maybe someday have a horse of her own.

Jordan and Lolli

This is Shay on Clyde.  Shay loves horses and wants to have a horse of her own.  She's already planned the whole deal out.  She told her mom and friends that she is taking lessons, getting a horse, and boarding it at Royal Oaks. This is my kind of kid!
Tobo says there's no age requirement for lessons.  He's a big horse but he is very gentle with the little ones!
Students - send in your photos for the website!
